Stories from a Few of SHA's Children

Queen is an 8-year-old girl currently living with her grandparents. She is the third of six siblings. In 2025, a fire in a neighboring home caused devastating disruption for her family, forcing them to separate. Her parents are currently staying with friends, while the children have been placed with extended family
members.
Because of these difficult circumstances, her parents have been unable to provide consistent care and support. Two years ago, Serenity House Africa (SHA) stepped in to support Queen by ensuring she could return to school and receive the care, encouragement, and stability every child deserves.
Today, Queen is thriving in the classroom and continues to make steady progress in her education. Through SHA's support, she has found hope, confidence, and the opportunity to dream beyond her circumstances. Instead of worrying about whether she will be able to attend school, she can focus on learning, growing, and building a brighter future.
Queen dreams of becoming a teacher one day so she can help other children discover the joy of learning and inspire them to believe in themselves. With continued support, her future is filled with possibility, and she is one step closer to turning her dream into reality.
